Baume & Mercier Men's 8462 Classima Automatic Strap Watch

	Baume & Mercier Men's 8462 Classima Automatic Strap Watch (Watch) I bought this item from a local jewelry shop. My first impression of this product was great. The watch is just what I wanted from a functionality standpoint, it has a clean dial, keeps time very well over the course of a week, and the leather clasp works real well to keep the watch on your wrist. My disappointment kicked in on the first weekend I had the watch. After wearing the watch over the week (Mon - Fri), I left it in my cabinet on Friday evening. I took a look at it again on Sat afternoon, and it had already stopped working. So, I wound it up (40 turns), and kept it back. Again, on Sun evening, the watch had died. So, I wound it back again and wore it on Monday morning for work. It kept the time very well well till the following Friday evening, after which it went back into the cabinet. And lo and behold, it had stopped working again on Saturday afternoon. After repeating this whole routine the following week, too, I figured out that the reserve time on this watch was only 20 hrs, and NOT 40 hrs (as given in the booklet and told by the jeweler). So, this is the first things which I was disappointed with. The second thing which I hated was the waiting time to get the watch looked at. When I took it back to the jeweler, he said that it will take up to a month to send it to New York and get the watch serviced. Now, that's one long waiting period! I am still waiting to hear back. I will follow-up on this review once I get the watch back.Update after 1 month:I got the watch back from Baume and Mercier with absolutely no comments on what the issue was and what servicing they did (if any). I wound the watch (40 turns) and wore it through the week. Again, on weekend, it ran out of juice at about 21 hr mark. I tested it 2-3 times with the same result. Then I took it again to the shop where he checked it and it seemed to last 52 hrs according to his test!! This time I asked the shopkeeper to wind the watch and I wore it on my wrist. After returning home, I kept the watch away to find out it died within 24 hrs. So, I left it at the shop to check for the 3rd time. Will report back once I hear from them.
